Wishlist Wednesday #1

Thanks to Ula from Blog of Erised, I discovered the weekly blog hop meme "Wishlist Wednesday" hosted by Pen to paper and as I have over 100 books on my wishlist, I'll have plenty of material to fill this weekly column :o)

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

Ever since I read, Dan Abnett's Triumff: Her Majesty's Hero back in 2011, I have been on the look-out for further adventures of the extraordinary character of Rupert Triumff, the sharp tongued swordsman and paramour.  Dan Abnett has an incredible rich vocabulary and a way with words that keeps me on my toes (and I have been told that this isn't solely due to the fact that I am not a native English speaker).  Triumff challenged me on a linguistic level, but what I liked above all was the setting of the book : an world, set in modern times but with an Elisabethan twist, where Magick has made any technological or industrial innovation redundant and has therefore contributed to leaving the world as it was at the time of Virgin Queen.

Browsing the web, I found a possible sequel to this favourite of mine but strangely enough Triumff: The Double Falsehood  seems to be a ghost book.  Although it is referenced on Goodreads and has an ISBN number linking it to Harper Collins and its subsidiary Angry Robot Books, it is featured on neither of the publisher sites and even a google search yielded no information.  And unsurprisingly, this coverless mystery book is unavailable on the major bookselling sites it is referenced on.

So there you go : on my wishlist for almost a year, I have a Triumff: The Double Falsehood, no cover, no synopsis and not a clue on how to get my hands on it. Isn't this the ideal novel to start off Wishlist Wednesdays?

Should you come across this book somewhere, please, please, please drop me a line.  You'll have my eternal gratitude.
